We invite all readers to contribute to an architectural competition to reimagine the façade of a significant building on Madrid’s famous Gran Vía. This competition focuses on number 19, the Court of Contentious-Administrative No. 10 headquarters, originally built in 1921 and renovated in the 1970s. Gran Vía, a vibrant commercial artery known for its early 20th-century Spanish architecture, connects key squares in the city and showcases diverse building styles. The competition seeks to spark a broader debate on the architecture of public buildings and their historical and aesthetic significance.

Brief description
With this competition, we sadly cannot change the current state of the building. The point however is to spark a debate on the role of architecture in public space.
Also, we want to prove that it is still possible (and needed) to construct beautiful buildings, harmonize with their surroundings, and be anchored in the great architectural traditions of Spain.

¡CONCURSO!
